Plain City Family Dental enjoys performing a wide range of dental services. As a patient this is important because it minimizes the need to refer out to different doctors saving you many extra visits and time. This convenience also keeps your total oral care under close supervision by one doctor.


Plain City Family Dental has been creating beautiful smiles in Plain City area. We want to create meaningful lasting relationships by helping you understand how you can reach optimal oral health with an aesthetically pleasing smile.


Children’s appointments are called Happy Visits and last as long as the child is comfortable. The appointment includes time for the dentist and the child to get acquainted, to complete an exam, and to clean your child’s teeth.


Please note: If you need to reschedule your appointment for any reason at all, we are happy to do so with 48 hours’ notice prior to your appointment.

Meet Dr. Peter Mortenson

Dr. Peter Mortenson's journey to dentistry began with a childhood aversion to shots, sparking his commitment to prioritize patient comfort. Raised in Bozeman, Montana, where he witnessed dental care firsthand in his father's practice, Dr. Mortenson embraced innovative pain management techniques during his studies at the University of Utah School of Dentistry. After honing his skills in North Pole, Alaska, he opened Plain City Family Dental in 2024, dedicated to providing pain-free, compassionate care. Our mission is to foster a culture of comfort, compassion, and community in every patient interaction.

Helping Those In Need

By being our patient, you will make a positive difference in the community. For every new patient who comes our way, Plain City Family Dental makes a donation to Give Me a Chance, an Ogden-based program that helps the underprivileged. Here, at-risk kids get help with their homework and are given a fun and safe after-school environment to learn gardening, art, music, reading and math.
